Boxing for cardio vs. Running for cardio

There has been alot of controversy over the past several year as to which is better, boxing or running for cardio? The answer is it depends on what you like and want to do. In my opinion, I use boxing more than running simply for the self defense part of it and it is not as boring as running. Many would argue that running is less boring than boxing. Like I said, it all depends on the person. Another important factor is upper body activation compared to lower body activation. When I want to get a shredded chest and ab area, I use boxing more so that running. I always do boxing in the spring for the show muscles to shine. When I get bored of boxing by mid summer, I will pick up running till fall. Until there is hard evidence as to which is really better for you, I would pick the one you love to do.
